White label Google Ads guide for agencies by Emranul Haque

White-Label Google Ads: What It Includes and How Agencies Price It

White-label Google Ads is when a specialist builds and manages Google Ads campaigns for your agency’s clients, and you deliver the work under your own brand. Your client talks to you, sees your logo on the reports and pays your invoice. The partner stays behind the scenes and handles setup, optimisation and reporting. It lets an agency sell paid search without hiring a full-time PPC team.

I’ve run Google Ads for businesses since 2018, and I offer the same work white-label to agencies in the UAE and the USA. When agency owners look at this model, the same questions come up: what exactly is included, how is it priced, and how do you keep margin without losing control of the client. This guide answers all three.

What does white-label Google Ads include?

A complete white-label service should cover the full campaign lifecycle, not just “running ads”. At minimum, expect:

  • Account audit or setup. A review of the existing account, or a clean build with the right structure, naming and settings.
  • Keyword and audience research. Search terms, negative keywords and audience signals based on the client’s offer and location.
  • Campaign build. Search, Performance Max, Shopping, Display or YouTube campaigns, depending on the goal.
  • Ad copy and assets. Responsive search ads, sitelinks, callouts and image assets written for the client’s market.
  • Conversion tracking. Google Tag Manager, GA4 and conversion actions, so results are measured as leads or sales, not clicks.
  • Ongoing optimisation. Bid strategy, search term pruning, budget pacing and ad testing every week.
  • Branded reporting. Monthly reports with your agency’s logo and colours, written so your client can read them.
  • Confidentiality. An NDA, no direct client contact unless you ask for it, and no partner branding anywhere the client can see.

If a partner only offers “campaign management” without tracking or reporting, you will end up doing the hardest parts yourself.

How do agencies price white-label Google Ads?

There are four common pricing models. Most agencies use one for the partner cost and a different one for what they charge the client.

Model How it works Best for Watch out for
Flat monthly retainer A fixed fee per client account each month Predictable budgets and steady accounts Large accounts can outgrow the fee
Percentage of ad spend A share of the monthly budget managed Accounts where spend grows over time Clients may see it as a reason to push spend
Tiered by spend Fixed fee bands, for example by spend range Agencies with many accounts of different sizes Needs clear rules when a client moves between tiers
Per project One fee for a setup, rebuild or audit Launches, account cleanups and one-off fixes No ongoing optimisation unless added

Many partners also charge a one-time setup fee for new accounts, because the first month carries most of the research and tracking work.

How much margin should an agency add?

Your margin pays for the client relationship: sales, account management, strategy calls and the trust the client has in you. Agencies usually price the client fee based on the value of the results and their own positioning, not as a fixed mark-up on the partner cost.

A simple way to check your pricing: list everything you still do yourself (client calls, approvals, reporting reviews) and make sure the margin covers that time with room to spare. If it doesn’t, either raise the client fee or choose a partner who takes more of that work off your plate.

Why is there usually a minimum contract?

Google Ads needs time to learn. New campaigns and bid strategies go through a Smart Bidding learning period, search term data builds up, and bid strategies only become reliable once enough conversions are recorded. A short engagement often ends right when the account starts to perform.

That is why my own Google Ads, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads work runs on a 6-month minimum. It gives enough time to set up, test and scale, and it protects the agency from a client leaving before results show.

How to choose a white-label Google Ads partner

  1. Ask for real numbers. Ad spend managed, number of accounts and examples of results, with client names removed if needed.
  2. Check the tracking setup. A good partner insists on proper conversion tracking before spending budget.
  3. See a sample report. It should be clear enough to send to your client without rewriting it.
  4. Agree on communication. How fast they reply, who they talk to, and whether they can join client calls as part of your team.
  5. Get confidentiality in writing. An NDA and a clear rule on no direct contact with your clients.
  6. Start with one account. Test the workflow on a single client before moving your whole book of business.

Is white-label Google Ads right for your agency?

It usually makes sense if you already sell SEO, websites or social media and clients keep asking for paid search, or if you have more ad accounts than your team can manage well. It makes less sense if you only have one or two small accounts a year, where a per-project setup may be enough.

The agencies that do best with it treat the partner as part of their team: shared processes, one point of contact and regular reviews of every account.

Frequently asked questions

Will my client know I use a white-label partner?

Not if the partner works properly. Reports carry your branding, communication goes through you, and the partner signs an NDA.

Who owns the Google Ads account?

The client should own the account, with your agency and the partner given access through a Google Ads manager account (MCC). This protects everyone if the relationship ends.

Can a white-label partner handle Meta Ads and TikTok Ads too?

Many can. I deliver Google, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads, SEO and websites on the same white-label basis, so an agency can sell a full package through one partner.

How fast can a new account go live?

It depends on the account’s size and how quickly tracking access and approvals come through. A focused Search campaign can usually launch within days once access is in place.
